How does the Essential Robe fit – is it more relaxed or fitted?

Relaxed. It's a kimono-style cut with a calf-length hem and ¾ sleeves, so there's room to layer pajamas or loungewear underneath. A removable belt lets you cinch the waist for a closer fit whenever you want it.

What size Essential Robe should I order?

It comes in three size bands based on chest measurement: XS/S fits a 27.5–33" chest and 35.5–38" waist, M/L fits 32–37" chest and 39–42.5" waist, and XL/2XL fits 37–44" chest and 43–49.5" waist. Since the fit is relaxed and one-size-friendly within each band, going with your chest measurement is the most reliable way to choose.

Is the Essential Robe unisex?

Yes. We designed the kimono cut to work for all bodies, so it makes an easy shared-household or gender-neutral gift.

What is the Essential Robe made of?

100% certified organic cotton interlock fabric and GOTS-certified, so it's grown and processed without pesticides, toxic dyes, or PFAS. The interlock knit gives it a substantial, luxe drape.

Can I try on the Essential Robe before deciding to keep it?

Yes. Try it on for fit, but keep the hangtag attached and ensure there are no signs of wear in order to be eligible for a free exchange or return to store credit. We charge a $8 return shipping fee for any returns to refund within 30 days.

What does GOTS-certified mean?

GOTS stands for the Global Organic Textile Standard, the leading certification for organic textiles. It means every step of our supply chain, from growing the cotton to dyeing and sewing the final product, is verified free of pesticides, toxic dyes, and PFAS, with fair labor standards enforced along the way.
